Frequently asked questions:
What is the neighborhood like?
Peaceful, private and friendly. A special balance seems to have evolved naturally. Owners respect each other’s privacy and yet are available to help each other. Most of us love living here. Units are rarely offered for sale.
Is there a Contact List with residents phone numbers and email addresses?
Yes. If you are a resident of Ellsworth Village, you may obtain such a private list from Linear Property Management. It is available on their website. Individual owners authorize the contact information that they want to become public.
Are there Occupancy Restrictions?
Yes. Ellsworth Village is certified as an age restricted community. Occupancy is limited to two adults who are 55 or older. There are also limits to overnight guests. See the Rules and Regulations and Amendment #1 of the Master Deed.
What are the parking rules?
There are designated parking spots at the island in the circle which are to be used by visitors and repairmen. They are not intended for additional unit owner vehicles. Visitors may also park along the street, but should be conscious of allowing space for emergency vehicles to get through. There is absolutely no parking along the curve near the mailboxes, in front of the emergency access (metal) gate or in the “turn around” spot at the very beginning of Ellsworth Village Road.
Is There a Speed Limit on Ellsworth Village Road?
The Rules establish 15 miles per hour as our speed limit. We recommend much slower. And please be conscious of the center line as you round the corner at the beginning of our road. There have been some close calls.
What are the rules about “overnight guests”?
Refer to the Master Deed Amendment #1 – page 35
“Overnight guests who are younger than fifty-five (55) years of age shall be allowed for reasonable visitation periods not to exceed sixty (60) consecutive days in duration and not to exceed one-hundred twenty (120) days per year. Children under the age of eighteen (18) shall not be allowed to reside in the Units; occupancy for two (2) weeks or less per year shall not be deemed occupancy by children. Notwithstanding the foregoing, up to two (2) children per Unit, under the age of eighteen (18), whose parents are deceased or otherwise legally or physically incapacitated and unable to perform their parental functions, shall be allowed to reside with their grandparents without limitation as to time.”
May I display a US Flag?
Yes! Flags and banners are prohibited. But owners may fly the US Flag using this prescribed method:
Display of a US flag at Ellsworth Village Condominiums is permitted only in the following location: mounted on a bracket placed on the vertical garage door trim board closest to the unit entrance – and only in accordance with proper protocol as specified at www.usa.gov/flag. The flag may not exceed 2 ft x 3 ft in size. Care and maintenance of the flag and its mounting bracket is a unit owners responsibility.
As long as these guidelines are followed, you can install the flag without submitting a formal request to the Trustees.
What does “Quiet Enjoyment” mean?
Refer to Rules and Regulations. But in simple terms, our residents moved to an age restricted community for a reason. Ellsworth Village has evolved into a community where owners respect each others privacy and desire for peaceful living. Of course, who doesn’t enjoy the occasional sounds of laughing visiting grandchildren? But let’s leave our loudest days in the past.
Are there “social events”?
Yes! There is a history of a fall gathering at the cul de sac island – usually at the end of September. It’s a BYOB get together. Owners bring food and we reconnect. Prior to the Covid panemic, we had other events such as a “Welcoming Spring Fling”. A new social committee has been formed. If you have ideas or suggestions, contact them and join the fun.
There are also book groups and a mahjong league!

How do I get my own (interior) repairs done? Who do I call?
There is a list of contractors that have been used by fellow residents. Start there. If you still have questions, contact Linear Management for suggestions.
What if I have pest problems – ants or critters?
If the pests are on the outside of your condo and pose a problem, as in a hornet’s nest, contact Linear Management. If you are having issues within your unit, call a reputable pest control company – this is an owner’s responsibility. Check the Contractors Page for a possible company. Or reach out to Linear Property Management.
What can I do with my deck? Can I make any changes to it?
Many owners add outdoor furniture and perhaps some potted plants.
Based on popular interest in deck awnings, the Board researched and selected an awning company and standard awning prototype. This is the only style permitted. The document guiding you to the company who must install it is within the Rules and Regulations. No other physical changes may be made to the decks. Approach Linear Management with any questions.
Can I plant anything in the front of my unit?
Perhaps. But please consult the Rules and Regulations. Scroll down to item #10. And ask a member of the Landscape Committee for guidance.
Do I have to deal with snow at all?
Not much! Our contractor does a great job of keeping us cleared out – including your front steps. When you hear that beep beep in the early hours, smile, roll over and go back to sleep. However, you will need to clean off a car that’s not in the garage.
